‍“In many cases,” Dennis explains, “an invoice is currently sent on paper or over email as a .pdf attachment – and that’s how many companies are currently operating. 

An e-invoice is a data set that contains all the information of the invoice that is sent electronically. This data set is posted on the invoice network with a sender and receiver ID. Due to these parameters, the network knows exactly where it should be delivered.”
